Safety Statement and Risk Assessment

A Safety Statement and Risk Assessment is a legal requirement for every employer in Ireland under sections 19 and 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

Safety Statement and Risk Assessment is a Safety Management System which when implemented can protect an organisation in multiple ways.

Firstly and most importantly employees safety, health and well being is improved.

Additionally it makes economic sense to manage health and safety, as a positive health and safety culture contributes to business success economically by saving money and increasing productivity.

There are legal advantages to the successful management of health and safety and these include increased legal protection from both civil compensation claims and possible criminal prosecution. In Ireland a fine of up to 3 million euro and /or 12 months imprisonment apply for breaches of health and safety legislation.

We have vast experience undertaking Safety Statements and Risk Assessments for most sectors ranging from corporate to industrial.

VDU / DSE Assessments

VDU / DSE Assessments are a legal requirement for all habitual computer users and must be undertaken at each individual workstation. No one solution fits all and the principle of ergonomics is placing the priority of the end user first. We regularly undertake this service for clients and would be delighted to assist.

We also have particular expertise at undertaking more specialist ergonomic assessments including those where the user may have a underlying health condition.

Health and Safety Audits

Health and Safety Audits are very popular and are useful when a client already has a Safety Statement and Risk Assessment in place and would like to assess the effectiveness of their Health and Safety Management System as well as gauge a snapshot of the organisations safety culture.

Fire Safety Audits and Fire Risk Assessments.

We have particular expertise and experiencing in conducting both Fire Safety Audits and Fire Risk Assessments.

A Fire Audit generally will focus more on areas of non compliance and offer suggestions and advice on how to remedy said areas of non compliance.

A Fire Risk Assessment is structured in accordance with Risk Assessment principals and will outline both areas of compliance and areas of non compliance in equal measure.

Manual Handling Training Courses

Manual Handling Training Courses are our most popular training course. One reason for this is Manual Handling accidents are the largest cause of not fatal workplace accidents in Ireland. Whilst training is an effective control measure in relation to Manual Handling, the Manual Handling risk must first be avoided or reduced prior to training and the consideration of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where appropriate. Training is never the sole answer but is important and can make a substantial difference for those who do have to engage in Manual Handling.

Health and Safety Training Courses / Virtual Training Courses

We offer a range of Health and Safety Training Courses to meet your requirements. We can also develop bespoke Health and Safety Training Courses at the request of the client. We can offer courses face to face or virtually over platforms such as Zoom.  Some courses will require a follow up practical on site if the virtual option is selected.
