The provision of eye sight testing for VDU operators is a requirements under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act (Gereral Application) Regulations 2007.
VDU Testing is carried out on site, usinga keystone vision testing machine.
Each VDU Test takes 8- 10 minutes aproximately.
The person must bring their glasses (if they have any)
It is non invasive which screens for eyesight problems caused by computer use.
Subjects are notified of the test results immedaitely.
A full report of results is prepared for your records.
Any persons who show an adverse test result will be advised to attend their GP or optician.
The test also screens for persons who are claiming optical benefit for VDU glasses
Typically 99% of people will
not qualify for optical benefit for VDU
glasses, when tested.
